2017 Charity Cricket Match

In 2016 we had our first ever charity event, a T20 Cricket Match v Woldingham Village Cricket Club.

A partisan crowd of over 100 people saw a friendly Woldingham Village team bat first, scoring an impressive 176-5 from their 20 overs. We batted second, scoring 118-7, which wasn’t quite enough to win the game!

Our team, self-nicknamed ‘The Tandridge Tigers’ was made up of local people that volunteered to play through our site and through social media.

The T20 match was a great success and we are pleased to have raised just over £1,620 for The Lily Foundation.

Generous local companies provided some great raffle prizes and match sponsorship. Bashford & Co provided our BBQ food; Woldingham Village Club Bar ran the BBQ and (sponsored the) bar; Chartford Trees sponsored the stumps and Nine 8 Nine Design & Print sponsored the match ball and provided our leaflets.

Our next charity T20 game v Woldingham Village CC is planned for Wednesday 5th July 2017.  (More details to follow).
