InTandridge attended House of Stand Up’s, Caterham Comedy, on Friday evening, and we had a brilliant time!
The monthly comedy night, (formerly at The Whyteleafe Tavern), is now hosted at Soper Hall and with a crowd of around 50 people, we were in an intimate room, with no one able to hide from the comedian’s on show!
That said, it was the front row that the excellent compère, Laura Lexx, decided to start with… it’s also the row, first act, Jeremy O’Donnell, decided to carry on with! After the first break, Laura Lexx then went to the back row, but that’s only because during the first interval, the entire front row had decided to move their chairs from the front, to form a new back row!! Haha!
Gary Hollick was next up, with some brilliant and very funny one liners, especially from his little red book of things that keep him up at night!
‘Londoner’ Jimmy Bird followed with some good material before headline act, Keith Platt, ‘The professional Yorkshireman’ closed the show in (Yorkshire) style!
It was a great night and exceptional value at just £10 per ticket!
There was plenty of time to grab a drink during intervals with wine and prosecco at £3.50 a glass and a bottle of stella just £2.50!
If you like laughing, InTandridge definitely recommends House of Stand Up’s, Caterham Comedy, and we’ll definitely be going again!
