Another Successful Christmas (event) in Warlingham!
You know it’s a great Christmas event, when the mulled wine runs out!
Organisers arranged for double the amount of Mulled wine compared to last year’s event, but it still sold out! It’s no wonder though, with approximately 2,000+ people attending the hugely popular Warlingham Green Christmas Party and Lantern Procession!
The Warlingham Christmas Party event gets bigger and better each year, and this year’s event was another huge success, enjoyed by local residents braving the cold.
Warlingham Flute Band led the traditional lantern parade, which was made up of local pupils from Hamsey Green, Warlingham Village, and Warlingham Park Primary Schools.
Vivian Marshall, from Sanderstead, won the raffle, winning the prize of switching on the Warlingham Green Christmas lights. Warlingham District Counsellor, Jeremy Pursehouse, who organises the event, was the MC for the day.
Local families enjoyed the children’s choir, Santa’s Grotto (in Walringham Church Hall), the Christmas Market (in Warlingham Village Hall), BBQ food, musical puppets, stalls and funfair rides!
An absolutely fantastic event, which InTandridge thoroughly recommends! If you are not a member already, join the Warlingham Christmas Lights Facebook page here – to keep up to date about next years event.
