Charity Cricket Game

Did you used to play cricket?  Have you been meaning to join a local cricket club, but haven’t got around to it yet?  Would you like to play, but time constraints mean you can’t play all day Saturday or Sunday?  Have you never played cricket before but fancy giving it a bash? 

If you answered yes to any of the above, then we are looking for you… in fact, we need you!

InTandridge are looking to start a new fun cricket team, made up of local residents (within the district of Tandridge) that don’t currently play.

We will take on local cricket clubs with fun mid-week charity matches, with each game raising money for a different local charity.

There will be minimal commitment from you… the odd practise session here and there, perhaps the occasional get together at a local pub ‘to discuss tactics’ (obviously)… with a few mid-week games of cricket that raise money for a local charity!

What do we need? Players!  It doesn’t matter how good you are or how long you haven’t played cricket for, we need you.  There will be a match fee per game, probably in the region or £10-£20, which can be raised through sponsorship and will go to our chosen charity for that match.  We would also like to hear from anyone that would like to umpire or score at our charity matches, which would be very helpful and help the matches run smoothly!

What else do we need? Cricket bats, batting gloves, balls, pads, wicket keeping gloves, and any other cricket equipment.  We have contacted a local sports club, that can hopefully support us with this, however any 2nd hand equipment would be gratefully accepted.  Anything we do not end up needing will be given to a local charity shop.

Cricket Clubs If you fancy taking us on in a friendly 20/20 game and can provide a mid-week pitch to play on – we would love to hear from you.

Local Charities We would also like to hear from you.  We have a couple of charities in mind to raise money for, but would love to add to our list.  We will also be looking at other fundraising events in the future, so it would be great to find out about your charity or learn more about you.  We also offer free profiles on InTandridge to local charities, so please email  [email protected] to make sure you take advantage of this.

Local Businesses We also need you!  As we are raising money for local charities, obviously we are looking to raise as much money as possible.  There are many sponsorship opportunities – match balls, score books, umpires, players – basically, if we can raise money for charity from it, we will pimp anything out! We would also love to receive raffle prize donations, however small.
