Charity T20 Cricket: Home-Start East Surrey
Our 2nd annual Charity T20 Cricket Match v Woldingham Village Cricket Club is on Wednesday 5 July 2017.
This year we are raising money for the fantastic local charity, Home-Start East Surrey; which provides regular support, friendship and practical help for families with young children who are struggling to cope. This maybe for a variety of reasons; e.g. disability, bereavement, multiple births and isolation.
Being a parent, whatever your situation, can be very challenging, especially when children are young. Many parents feel exhausted and overwhelmed by the stresses of family life. For some parents it’s a particular struggle because they are also coping with issues such as post-natal depression, their or their child’s illness or disability, isolation or multiple births.
That’s when parents need support.
That’s when Home-Start East Surrey can help.
A carefully selected volunteer, who has parenting experience, can visit regularly and offer emotional and practical support. This friendly parent-to-parent support is a simple yet effective way of enabling families to get back on track.
Our Charity T20 Match will start at 5.30pm, however our licensed bar and BBQ will be open from 5pm.
The ‘Tigers’ are looking to avenge last years loss to Woldingham Village Cricket Club with 10 or the 11 players from last year returning again!
