Happy Birthday & Congratulations!

InTandridge would like to wish Surrey Dance School a happy birthday, and congratulate them on some excellent exam results!

Surrey Dance School has just turned one, and it has been a busy year, since primarily offering children’s ballet classes in Limpsfield, Oxted.

As well as adding additional children’s ballet classes, Surrey Dance School launched “Funky Feet” modern dance classes, and adult dance classes, covering a range of dance styles through fun, high energy routines.

InTandridge caught up with Surrey Dance School Principal, Tarryn, who said it has been an “exciting year”.

“Our pre-primary ballet girls performed a “petit” ballet routine at Limpsfield Village Fete, and all of our 4-7 year old Funky Feet class danced a routine in front of a lovely Limpsfield crowd. The children enjoyed every minute of their performances and having their make-up and hair done for the shows.  It was a great experience for all of them”.

In July 2015, six Surrey Dance School ballet girls travelled with Tarryn to London to dance their first Cecchetti pre-primary examination, in which they “danced beautifully”.  To cap off a wonderful year, he girls have just been given their results.  They achieved 100% success rate, with 4 awarded a merit (with over 70%) and 2 awarded a distinction (80%+) – Fantastic results!

As well as Surrey Dance School classes, Tarryn runs a nursery school dance programme, running 30 minute weekly classes within local nursery schools; Panda Nursery in Limpsfield, and  Felicity’s Nursery in Crockham Hill.
