Physiotherapy at home
Getting the proper care you need shouldn’t be inconvenient or out of reach. We work within the London Borough of Croydon, plus reach out to Sutton, Reigate and Redhill, together with Purley, Coulsdon, Caterham, Warlingham and Oxted, to bring a professional and practical physiotherapy service to patients in their place of residence – whether that’s a domestic household or nursing home.
Every case is different and should be treated so. We work closely with GPs, consultants, social services, care agencies and nursing homes to deliver the best course of treatment, whilst keeping in close contact with your relatives so they are up to date on progress and how they can help. This is key to ensure you are on the quickest road to recovery.
This combination allows us to accurately assess your needs and develop a treatment programme that can work in real life scenarios and achieve realistic goals.
6-12 weeks can be the average waiting time for an NHS domiciliary visit. During this time, your condition and confidence can deteriorate, or worse, another crisis could occur – in other words the sooner you can begin treatment, the better.
That’s why we offer a flexible 7 day a week service so that treatment isn’t delayed. We’re even able to see you within a couple of days from the first enquiry, which includes weekends – no more long waits for the help you need. Help is at hand.
Through experience and thorough assessment, Fairhand Visiting Physiotherapists has often found that there can be underlying conditions which may have been overlooked previously. This plays a key role in accessing how a situation has progressed to its current stage.
On these pages you will find information on how physio can help these conditions as well as a patient case study, demonstrating treatment in practice.
As well as ‘on the ground’ experience, the physios at Fairhand have undergone training through external organisations, ACPIN and AGILE, to develop our knowledge across these areas:
.
Falls prevention & fear of falls | Frailty | Chest & other chronic conditions | Dementia | Strokes & TIA (transient ischaemic attack) | Parkinson’s disease | Osteoporosis | Arthritis | Post-op treatment
Other Services | Benefits of Physiotherapy | Meet the Team | FAQs | Contact Us
